Elvis's first record.. How historic is that?? I'm surprised the Beatles didn't cover it.. The author, Arthur Crudup, got totally screwed on royalties for this.. Funny.. Elvis never got a copyright strike on youtube for doing this song.. :))) At the very least, Elvis should have sent Arthur a few hundred thousand bucks or so, so he wouldn't have had to work in a factory and die poor after writing the song that launched Elvis's career.. A few less Cadillacs.. Don't you agree?? Read about it.. I know.. Im too liberal.. Incidentally, this song gets a lot of consideration as the first rock n' roll song ever... Just an aside..
